I've been taking photography seriously for about 15 years and have build up a fair sized stock-library.
My most successful images seem to be Abstracts ("altered reality"), with Glamour/figure-studies a close second. The majority of abstracts are created using the "old-fashioned" traditional methods of "slide sandwitches", multi-exposures and so on. Not that I don't have any digital images, but unless exact positioning is required, the manual methods are faster and easier to create with a slide-duplicator. I also have an interest in "alternative photography" made possible by the excellent and afordable home computers and printers now available. The ease of printing out a paper negative that can be used to contact print a "cyanotype" or "gum print". These old methods have to be contact printed, so the size of the negative is the size of the final print. |
